Dear Wanderers, Worshippers, Lovers of All Things UU,
A warm welcome to my site.
The election for Moderator is Saturday, June 22nd. Whatever the outcome, I want to thank you for the opportunity I have had to run for Moderator. I have grown spiritually and in my vision for our faith as I have talked with many of you and consulted with many of the leaders of our faith; and I have had a blast!
Our UUA is in a time of transition and tension, but my faith in our future has been strengthened by the energy, ideas, passion, and compassion that I have encountered across this country. I firmly believe that these qualities unite us as Unitarian Universalists, and that together in covenant, we can create our future. For more on this subject, please read my latest blog post.
Drop By for a Visit
Come by my booth in the Exhibit Hall in Louisville. I want to catch up with my old friends and meet new ones who are interested enough to check out my website.
You can also check the schedule to see who is going to be available to talk with you about my candidacy. Share with them and with me your ideas for the future of our faith and how you think the Moderator can help bring that vision to life.
There’s free stuff, literature to help you to get to know me better, and (wait for it) … orange M&Ms! There will also be enough energy flowing from the booth to recharge your batteries as you peruse the many offerings from vendors on the floor.
Final Candidate Forum
For those of you who will be at GA, please attend the candidates’ forum from 9:00 –10:30 Thursday night. It features just Tamara and me, so there will be a lot of time to ask those questions that have been nagging at the edges of your consciousness or that have been smack in the middle of your thoughts as you contemplate who best can lead the governance of the Association.
People have said that forums sponsored by the UUA, the Church of the Larger Fellowship, and District or Regional meetings have been quite enlightening. (Click on the links to view two of the forums and other Videos.) The forums are your best opportunity to compare the two candidates side-by-side answering the same questions.
Learn More about Me
Elsewhere on this site, you can read about the experience I would bring to the position of Moderator, my vision for the UUA, my views on governance, and what some other UUs have written in support of my candidacy. You can also read all my blog posts and view additional video clips of interviews I have done.
I trust you will find the information useful, and I respectfully ask for your vote on Saturday, June 22, at General Assembly.
In faith,
Jim Key
